Hydroponic systems sound like something only expert level gardeners would work with, but luckily we are living in the age of information, and we can learn just about anything online. As technology improves we allow ourselves to work smarter not harder, giving us more time to tend to other projects or spend time with family and friends. This DIY Hydroponic A-Frame build is a great choice for any gardener looking to get the most bang for their buck, and a good harvest for their space.
Only taking up a 6 by 10 foot space, you could be harvesting all 168 plants soon after you complete this project. The Hydroponic A-frame build is going to give you best results when growing small plants or herbs like lettuce, strawberries, basil, or radishes. Due to it’s unique vertical layout, you won’t be breaking your back trying to pick your berries or clip your herbs. I will leave a video at the end to help guide you through this process. Let’s get started!

A permanent base types of NFT system with pvc pipe & downspouts
With the use of Uni-Seals you can adjust your water level with ease. With new transplants you can raise the water level above net cup until roots form.
The uni seal will also protect your drainage system from leaking. Don’t skimp on these seals or you will be wasting water and starving your plants from the proper amount they need.
This open ended valve at the bottom will allow you to easily connect another system!
Finished product!
These basil plants love this system!
Sit back and enjoy the beautiful sight of 168 plants growing larger in their neat little rows.
